My three children are at the Honor Academy now. My sons are in their third year and my daughter is in her first. As far as the cost, that is for room and board which is cheaper than college. As far as ESOL, it is a grueling experience that one of my sons and my daughter quit early. My son completed it the second year and was awarded a "Golden" helmet for his leadership during ESOL. That some don't like or do well in this program is understandable as this society asks virtually nothing of young people today, so being in an environment that has high standards and accountability will turn them off. My kids were "good" before they went, but the maturity they have developed, the Biblical knowledge, and compassion for world has proven to me that the Honor Academy is what it presents itself to be and gives glory to God.

Lee, looking back to when I knew you at the HA I never would have dreamed you would become a Congressman. CONGRATS! Just goes to show you, God is always in charge. Facilities for life. ;-)

Wow. I'm amazed and glad that someone managed to take these lessons away from the HA. I learned the exact opposite things from the environment there...performance was preached against but instilled with every action and rule. People who fit the TM mold flourished and those who had different skills and giftings felt left out and like they didn't belong.

I hope more people have this experience and not the one I did.

Thanks, Brian for sharing your story! Our daughter, Elle Strube graduated in 2003 from Honor Academy also. She would agree that it transformed her life.
Our son, Jon is attending HA this August & is excited!
Keep sharing your testimony every chance you get.
Sincerely,
The Strube's
